Katie Ghelerter was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Episcopal High School in 2004.  Katie attended the University of Florida in Gainesville and in December, 2009, graduated with a degree in the History of Art.  Since graduating, she has also completed the Teach First Coast Program at Florida State College of Jacksonville, with an internship at Loretto Elementary School.  While attending Episcopal High School, Katie was a Varsity Coxswain for the Women’s Crew Team.  Her love for the sport of rowing led her to pursue an assistant coaching position at Episcopal for the 2010 season.  Katie has also devoted her time as a substitute teacher at Riverside Presbyterian Day School. 

Katie first worked as a seasonal employee at Epping Forest during high school and returned to join the Fitness Center and Cub’s Den team in the spring of 2010.  Her love for working with children ultimately led to her acceptance of the Children’s Services Director position.  Katie enjoys working at Epping Forest Yacht Club and loves having the opportunity to work with children on a daily basis.
