Having purchased the Epping Forest property a few years earlier, the Gate Petroleum Company sought the guidance of a professional club management company to assist with the Club's early development. Club Operations and Property Management, Inc., in coordination with the Project Director, Dr. Ted Kilpatrick, were given the task of transforming the historical property into a premier yacht club.

At the time, Greg Bowman was managing a COPM owned city club in St. Petersburg, Florida. Invited to join the prestigious yacht club in its infancy and eager for the new experience, Greg accepted the challenge. In July, 1987 Greg joined the Epping Forest Yacht Club management team.

Greg's extensive background in the service industry spans 25 years of management experience and multiple clubs and restaurants. Greg follows a management philosophy that dictates fairness, consistency, integrity, consideration for all and standards never to be compromised.
